Gary Firmiger "OLAS Boss Sound System" Stolen

Been sent this message via a mutual friend:

Know I have a lot of friends on here in the Essex area of the A13 not involved in the Ska/Reggae scene but a prominent local Reggae DJ has had his van stolen with his sound system in the back. It is a Silver coloured VW crafter registration RO10ZGK. This happened earlier today in Grays. If on the off chance you have seen this anywhere, please please let us or the appropriate authorities know. Thank you




From what I can gather, it's a new rig, so Gary bought a new van too, to fit it all in, which means it doesn't have his OLAS Boss livery on it. If anyone sees anything, you know where to find Gary.

He DJ'd in my local in Grays a few weeks ago. Think his son's band played there the same night. I keep my eyes peeled.

It's worth contacting the main second hand record shops in London and put them on alert. It's not often that large reggae collections come up. I can speak to a friend who has 3 shops.

That's my picture -t aken first day of the season on my return from Boston , Gary kindly let me stow my luggage in the back while I went into the ground.
Nice bloke is Gary always has a natter with me at various grounds up and down the country .
Keen scooterist too...doesn't deserve this and I hope he gets his hands on the wankers who took his van...

Fuck me, there's a lot of sound system/ musical instrument thefts around Herts and Essex at the moment.

Are they in demand in Russia or something?

Whenever I encounter Gary Firminger, he comes across as a n alright bloke. I hope he gets his stuff back, and the thieving vermin who took it get their fucking just desserts.

Only spoke to him a few times he seemed ok... used to buy his fanzine back in the day ... was ok... probably best thing he did was to get the petition signed up to get Bill back in the ground...
